Faster. Farther. An art exhibit dedicated to Porsche
Ferdinand Piech is best known today as the former chairman of Volkswagen Group and as the father of the Bugatti Veyron, but much earlier in his career he was Porsche's head engineer for motorsports. The North Carolina Museum of Art is opening an temporary exhibit dedicated to him and his work at Porsche. To promote it, it has created a short film interviewing noted Porsche drivers Derek Bell and Jeff Zwart.
The exhibit itself will include 20 cars, including the incredibly rare 16-cylinder 917 prototype that never raced.
There are also other important Porsches including a Gmund coupe and Type 804 Formula 1 car.
